Romans 3:23 says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
And furthermore,
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
This means that because you and I are part of the all who have sinned in the first verse; we deserve death.
Is it that God hates me because I did something He didn’t like? No, God is just Holy and so good, meaning that He dislikes the bad and, being so perfect, He has to do something about the bad. He punishes sin by death.
God’s punishment is unavoidable and doesn’t always show up early because He is totally forgiving and loving still. He wants to have a deep relationship with us. He knows our weaknesses and tendency to sin, so because of that, He sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross in our place.
You’re just a few simple steps away from a new life in Christ
Admit that you are a sinner and you want to make a change for the better in your life
Believe that Jesus Christ was crucified and that God raised Him from the dead on the 3rd day
Receive Jesus Christ into your heart by declaring your faith in Him

Jesus, I come before You today
I’m a sinner and need your saving
Forgive me for the things I’ve done and the way I lived without You
I receive Your new life
Write my name in the Book of Life
Transform me and use me
Help me to walk with You and live for You
In Your name I pray
