project purpose

On June 20, 2010 we held our first Sunday service in the Girl Scouts building in Newark, Delaware, and what initially started out as a gathering for Bible-believing, like-minded individuals, quickly turned into a house of healing for our community. Over the last nine years, Purpose Ministries has become a non-denominational arena for strengthening and rebuilding marriages and families, giving underserved youth a sense of belonging and purpose and addressing the critical need of mental health across our community. And now, we ask you to join us in continuing this great work. After several consultations with vendors and contractors, it is estimated that $500,000 will help us achieve our goal of cementing Purpose Ministries’ mission at our new location at 150 Clinton St. Delaware City, Delaware. By partnering with Purpose Ministries, your donation will allow us to renovate our new building to host Sunday Services, special events for the community and a counseling center that will help address the mental health needs in our community. Your generous gift will help people in our community find a place of belonging and a sense of their purpose on this Earth.

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."
